Please remember to take your trash out of the pit when you leave the pit. I hunted a pit Sunday that had a trash can over flowing with trash.

Last weekend I had the chance to try on a pair of Howard Leight/Bilsom Impact electronic-amping earmuffs. Unlike models I've seen before, they weren't overly bulky, and they didn't have a noisy hiss when switched on. I was shocked to find out how inexpensive they are! more »

I hunted this morning and did scratch out 1 speck--some other ducks were flying but not many. I did get some to look but not close enough for a poor shot like me to hit them!
Had to leave around 9 for work.
Thought this little cool front would bring some fresh ones in but tommorrow is another day.

Free Ranger Guidelines

1. When Can I Grab a Free Ranger hunt?

   If the time at the moment you're looking at the schedule page (CST) is between 9PM and midnight, all available Free Ranger hunts are up for grabs.

Gentlemen of 3Riv, At last I get to hunt the "World Famous" Claypool pit on Monday with my son, and as a special treat it is my 45th birthday...so instead of cards, gifts, or the "Strip-a Gram", just pray to the duck gods that they will smile on me that day and bring forth a bountiful harvest of Mallards.

Should I fail to see many of you...Merry Christmas!
