Why Do Good Things Happen to Bad People?
I just read Neely's version of how he killed a banded hen. You can all see that his modesty is about the same as his subtlety. Banded Mallard
The morning started off with Mallards hovering over the pit. It was hard to stay off the trigger, but as gentlemen we did. As shooting time came, the ducks thinned out, as it seems they always do, but a couple of teal buzzed us and fell victims to the 5 gun salute.
One loan greenhead gave us a look and fell tits up in the decoys. more »
Speeders
After getting reservations for dinner, my group dined at Checkers Pizza. While there I met some other hunters and began talking. Turned out they are members in the club on S. Roberts as you drive to Section 2. I proudly said I'm a member of Three Rivers. They asked, well actually they pleaded for our members using S. Roberts Rd. to please slow down. more »
Open Water
Coming in on Wed.should I bring a boat & look for open water with all the cold weather locking things up for a while?? 1st year in the area & was just curious what everyone does when ice comes for a period?

I knew everyone would want to know how I spent my Friday night at the Horsebarn, so here goes.
1. At 11:30, run to bathroom.
2. At 11:45, stumble back to bed in feverish daze.
3. At 12:00, (read paragraph 1 again)
4. Continue indefinitely.

North Roberts Open A.M.
North Roberts will be open for the a.m. on Saturday. I won't be able to make it for the morning. We will be over in the afternoon to hunt. Take it if you need it.
where are the pintails?
Just realized we are 3 weeks from completing the season and have just a mere 23 logged pintails....any thoughts other than the obvious. seems like the forecast was for a normal hatch and flight. kinda skeerin me.
