alabama looks dry......12 days ago i hunted it and it was a small lake, with a current, undertow, and small sharks swimming by. now (as of saturday afternoon) it looked like the sahara....did something blow out? Heads up.

Woke up to ice, positivity flowing. Had a great pit. Weather front of cold finally here, perhaps some ducks? 6 of us busted ice. No ducks. Set up 7 dozen full bodies. No ducks. Set up 8 robos. No ducks. Used Argo and ranger and cleared out 200 yard hole. Looked great. No ducks. Cleaned ice off of 75 regular spread decoys. No ducks. Went to Betty's for hot meal at 9. No ducks. more »

remember way back in Oct/Nov when it was dry...check these out....burning rice and dry tupelo swamps.

Saturday turned out be a good hunt. Started in the normal "second guess, what should we do" frenzy. I hunted with Leslie Coleman, guest of his, my 2 kids, and the old faithful retriever Addie. Headed to Airstrip to try a dry field set up...however we were outdone by the folks down by Lost. Nothing doing. more »

Just realized we are 3 weeks from completing the season and have just a mere 23 logged pintails....any thoughts other than the obvious. seems like the forecast was for a normal hatch and flight. kinda skeerin me.
