Fun hunt in the thaw

Saturday turned out be a good hunt. Started in the normal "second guess, what should we do" frenzy. I hunted with Leslie Coleman, guest of his, my 2 kids, and the old faithful retriever Addie. Headed to Airstrip to try a dry field set up...however we were outdone by the folks down by Lost. Nothing doing. Headed over to Alabama at 3 pm, and proceeded to watch group after group head from the Claypool rest pond come up and over the road, circle once, and suck right in. Shot poorly, had a broken gun, and a 10 year old who is only allowed 1 shell at a time (Barney Fife-esque). COulda/Woulda/Shoulda had 30 birds, but 18 was good enough. had a blast.
