Wed Hunt Prediction
Now's when big open water should pay off as we got at least an inch of ice and it goes from dry pavement to solid ice as soon as you get off on 14, so take your time and come over tonight. If you're coming, call Addison for an invite to Heeb Res. as we had a nice shoot there this morning and in my opinion, it will be better tomorrow. more »
Not so popular pits
In looking at the hunt log, it looks like there are a few good blinds on the farm that are good ones, but they aren't being hunted very often. more »
Hunt Log
Good job guys on folks that are logging in after hunts, but let's try to improve on timing and make it a priority to log hunts ASAP so that our out of towners can be current.
Also, look through the log and think back if you can help the other guys out that might have forgotten to log a hunt from opening week. more »
Where is everybody
Currently, I'm in the den at triv clubhouse and everyone is asleep except for me and Trip Spear, who just arrived and said"where is everyone?"
There are 2 bedrooms that are empty and need warm bodies. Come on over for the party as we have a good number of ducks that need a welcome back to season opening again.

OK guys, first 15 guys to reply with a blog or email to me will get the spots on the 2nd annual TRIV quail, pheasant and chucker hunt. This year, we'll be in the rolling hills of crowleys ridge on a friend's family farm that makes you feel like you're in N. Dakota....without all the travel. more »
Schedule Housekeeping
Hey guys, we've been watching scheduling and it looks like there are a few folks that are claiming pits and changing their minds for whatever reason and not going. What happens then is the remaining folks on your team are left scheduled to hunt a pit that they didn't claim and the pit sits vacant or at least with other folks that are at the club wondering what's going on. more »
hunt log
OK, now we're back home and have a few days to catch our breath and head to the dr. for steroid shots and zpacks. Take some time to look at each day on the hunt log and make you've entered your hunts. Also, check to make sure other folks have entered as this is new to alot of folks and they need help. If you see a hunt is missing email or call the folks to get it done today or tomorrow. more »
Migration Alert
I saw the most obvious flight of new ducks yesterday at about 11 AM till dark. I got two phone calls from farmers making sure we had folks in the pits as they were seeing new birds arrive from sky high. The Heeb farm limited in most of their pits yesterday and he told me he watched the pumphouse field fill up with mallards right before dusk. more »
