Buckle Your Seatbelt!

This year has been a great season finishing up with about 1,500 ducks on the books and compared to a lot of clubs, that is really impressive. Next year, we'll have a shot at setting another record with the growth of Three Rivers Duck Club. There are a few details still remaining as usual, but here's what I know now.

Spring River Kids Camping/Trout Derby May 4-6

Bring kids 12 and under for a repeat of last years trip. 9-11 AM they are allowed to fish in the Mammoth Spring Hatchery and last year, each one caught the limit in under 30 minutes. Besides the fishing Saturday morning, the camping is pretty eventful too.
RSVP here so I can reserve the right amount of spots at the Spring River Oaks campsight.
More details will follow for folks that can make it.

Looking forward to it-HZ

Final Decoy Pick Up This Saturday 2-17-07

If you can come over Friday night and enjoy some good food and drink, bring it on. It might be a little chilly first thing, so plan on staying the whole day so we can finish picking up the remaining pits and getting decoys organized for next year.
Make sure you bring all available equipment, 4 wheelers, boats, etc. so we can knock it out quick.

SATURDAY NIGHT (2-10-07) AT 6:30 Wives/Significant Others Appreciation Party

OK guys this is the plan: NEXT SATURDAY NIGHT AT 6:30, Party at the Big Foot Lodge. It’s a Welcome Back Hunters Party. FULL CAMO ATTIRE encouraged.

Really this is a, thank your wife night for all the time spent in the field. Nobody needs to go out and get some jewelry and “one-up” everybody. Just let your wife order the big foot burger. No Promise Keeper bumper stickers or anything crazy. Just Dinner……

We can tell our wives together that we plan next year to start hunting in Canada and follow the birds to Mexico. They don’t need to know before then.

BW

...In my case, Lisa puts up with a lot when I'm gone pre-season and during season, so this is her night to get pampered and say back formally, thanks. If your wife had to put up with some extra hassle trying to keep warm at night without you or you just want to come and hang with everybody, come on. A simple RSVP to get an idea of how many folks can make it out, just respond to this post with a number in your party. more »

Flooded pits

Just an FYI. If you haven't been over since the weekend, assume that section 2 pits are flooded until further notice. Hoping to start pumping them out by Friday. Plan on showing up to help round up decoys and get life back to normal for the last week. Hope to see you this weekend as we go over 1500 ducks on the books.

Happy hunting-HZ
