Section 2 hunting and the lack thereof.....
I hope everyone had a great holidays. Just wanted to throw out there my kids and I hunted Road Pit yesterday afternoon. Only got a greenhead and spoon, but saw several ducks flying and working. Should have had more but was helping my daughter, Ruthie, shoot and try to get her 1st duck. That's still a work in progress, but just wanted to give a shout out to the Section 2 area.
The great flood has receded finally and I believe all the pits are open or will be by this weekend. I notice that everyone is hunting Claypool pits or Beedeville. Don't get me wrong those area are great and speak for themselves, but especially for the new members Section 2 pits have yielded plenty of ducks in the past. Before last year, North Bridge pit yielded the most ducks for 5 or 6 years in a row and couldn't EVER be free ranged. I just think it doesn't "LOOK" duck sexy enough and people are going elsewhere.
I just wanted to say make sure you don't short sight the Section 2 area. If I had been holding a gun the whole time we easily would have had 6 to 8 ducks. There were steady fliers and working ducks around, yet we were the only ones in the whole Section 2 area yesterday afternoon. I know most of you were probably hung over :), but still don't short sight it....
See you all soon....

Thanks for the info Louis. Good to hear for First Year Members. We will definitely have to check it out before season ends.
That's great to hear, I've been so busy with work and family health issues, that I've been out of town and working. Wish my kids and myself could have made some hunts, but it's coming!!! Guess we'll be finishing the year there more, or should I say with a bang!!! See ya soon!!!
