Damage Report
I'm curious as to how much/many of the pits were audited during the break for things like, brush, trash cans, trash bags, water scoops, etc. I noticed during my week out on the club while hunting multiple pits, that many of these items were non-existent. Dont get me wrong, hunting was great....but for those newcomers who heard the big speech on Opening Day Eve, they may have been expecting pits with all of these items. I'd be happy to help get these items to the pits to help with the cleanliness....just tell me where the stock pile is. Anyway, now that we are moving into 7 straight weeks of season (more of less), the cleanliness and overall condition of the pits will become critical for the next guys in the pit. Message to all: clean up, and use the damage report....and if you notice something wrong on the morning hunt, try and make the correction on the afternoon hunt. (oh, and the big white decoy bags need to be removed from pits and taken back to club)

I was lucky to be invited to hunt with Ron and Jason for North Bridge on the 28th. When leaving, I picked up three gallons of hulls and I think Ron picked up just about as much. I don't think we were responsible for even a quarter of that. We've all got to step it up a bit. Things already seem to be messier than I remember from last year. Instead of stuffing my pockets and decoy bags, I'm carrying trash bags with me from now on!
If U think U can you're right.
IfUThink U can't you're right!
Randy,Chris (my guest) & myself filled a garbage bag of junk from a blind Thursday ourselves. If one person would take a plastic bag when they get there drink & biscuit from the local conv store & just take out what you brought in it would help instead of leaving cig's carton drinks & what not just take it with you..
Hey Guys,
Schultzy is right about the Damage Report. Cleanliness is one of issues the Damage Report is intended to address.
The larger issue it addresses:
We don't want member's concerns to go unheard, because that means they can't be addressed!
From the club management viewpoint, it's very important that we get Damage Report entries telling us "When I arrived for my morning hunt at Yankee on 11-22, the pit was trashed."
Time, date and place are vital because without knowing when it was first found trashed, we can't know who it is who needs correction.
As for checking for brushing etc., a considerable amount of attention was devoted to this in the off season, and this will continue throughout the season.
Thanks for your help in this,
moo
