Well, It may be August but I must admit I've got the fever early, after my season last year, "Spoonies" on a fish pond would be an improvement.

Kudo's to whom ever takes these pics for the web site. Really great pictures. See you guys soon!

to check last years hunt log for a memory refresher. The hunts start to run together and challenge the memory, so the hunt log is great. I hunted the Timber opening morning and did poorly, so I was due for an afternoon hunt. I hunted the Lost Pit with L. Burgess, H Burgess, Addison Pegrim, and MOODAMAN. Lost Pit had an abundance of water and ducks. H Burgess killed his first and second ducks ever with an H&R single shot .410 firing #8 steel shot. If you know ballistics you know what a feat this was. Kind of lets you how the ducks were besieging us this day at frequent and close range, because this was a young and in-experienced shooter. It was fun letting him shoot first and giving him every opportunity for glory. Lots of high fives and excitement. We killed 20 in a mixed bag (7 mallards, 7 spoons, plus teal and gadwall to round things out) and it was a wonderful afternoon hunt we enjoyed while many others in Arkansas languished in BONE DRY fields and timber! THANK GOD I'M A THREE RIVERS MEMBER! (shamless plug but true, just the same).

Yep, Hunter stole my point. All you have to do at THREE RIVERS to be immortalized is make sure you are on a hunt with MOODAMAN. Dan and Randy, welcome aboard and buckle seat belts. Last year was a tough year for water for everyone....we worked extra hard for ours and the payoff was there. Stay tuned, gotta refresh my memory at the Hunt Log...

Moo I do in fact look forward to hunting with you and perhaps picking up a few camera tips along the way. Nothing like catching memories on film. I haven't even met you guys but I see already we share a mutual obsession. My son is so excited!

Thanks Randy and Ice Man. :-)

I've seen a lot of good pics from others club members, too, but I use this site to hog the glory for myself!

OK, Here goes. Hello Moo. I'm one of the "new guys", coming in along w/ Randy Neely. Together last year we were founding members of the "Bone Dry Duck Club". We called ourselves "Boners". I'll let Randy tell the story of why we called it Bone Dry. We still have a few hats for sale if anyone wants them.

The pictures are outstanding. The focus and detail are just excellent. I'm gonna put a pic w/ my blog, as soon as I get a pic, as soon as I get a blog. In the meantime, try to forget I'm with Randy.

LOL! Welcome Dan! As requested, I've already forgotten that you're with Randy. :-)

Okay, Bone Dry in a nut shell. I have never missed an opening day of the Arkansas duck season in 23 years. Last year was no exception. However: Last year was the first time in my hunting career to stand in a field that had as much water in it as the great salt flats of New Mexico. And though deep down in my heart,( where dreams come from) I knew there wasn't a duck in the country gonna give it a look. And the great duck hunter I am...I was so correct. So if Three Rivers will just have water at my pit opening day I will not complain. Hell I won't even take a gun. I'll just sit and watch the decoys float.

The End

Amazing thing is all of the pics on the site are exclusively taken by Moo at the club. Try to get on a hunt with Moo if you want to be a star.
