AMAZING WORK EFFORT: Recap and Summary.
Everyone involved put in an awesome effort. EVERYTHING on my agenda was accomplished by Sunday. Roll Call: Kane Reithemeyer and Co, Dr Jerry Brantley, Mike Moore, Dennis Gardner, Randy Neely & his utes, Rick Brantley, Mike Fay & Curtis Fay, Addison Pegrim, Andrew Pegrim, Jimmy Logan, Alan Wilson, & Bruce Collins came in Sunday.
Special thanks to Dennis Gardner and Mike Moore. Dennis on short sleep brought his welder and repaired the gate on Airstrip, he also welded hooks in the new Bama Pit. I know I will be thanking Dennis (and Stiles) every time I sit in a pit and have a hook for my blind bag. I will also be silently thanking Dennis and Mike everytime I am in pit with a new bench.
Summary:
East and West fishponds were pumped, bailed, cleaned, and gates were brushed. Bama's gates were brushed. Airstrip gates were brushed after the welding repair. North Bridge and South Bridge were pumped. Dekes were unbagged and spread out at S Bridge, N Bridge, S Roberts, N Roberts, Yankee, Section 2, House, South House, Claypool, Airstrip, E Rayburn, Alabama, E Fish Pond, West Fish Pond, and West Rayburn. Sunday we custom rolled the Fish Ponds so we could get the dekes unbagged and out.
Thanks to Alan Wilson for plumbing improvements. Both toilets replaced in the main clubhouse. The front bathroom's dinky toilet was replaced with a "Big Boy" that even Addison will be able to nestle down on in total comfort....ahhhh the luxuries. Alan also repaired and improved the duck cleaning station plumbing. VERY IMPORTANT! Each time you use it please follow this procedure to use the cleaning station sink. Close drain valve under the sink. Pull up the handle on the outside water faucet by the kennels, then route the water through the 'tee' fitting to the sink, then you can use the sink. After you are done, turn the water supply off and then (VERY IMPORTANT) open the valve under the sink and leave it open. If we don't follow this procedure we will lose our plumbing to the cleaning station the first freeze we have. Two drain lines were placed, hopefully to keep the area around the cleaning station dryer.
Anyone going over during the week? If so check in with me regarding last minute tasks. To Do:
1. Old gates at S House need to be transported out
2. Spread Hay around the pit at Alabama, South House, House, and S Roberts
3. One more pit left to brush gates and spread dekes.
4. Run out to S Bridge & N Bridge for an eyes on water level check of the pits.
Just a pointer, but on opening morning you should plan to go out to your pit EARLY (Friday afternoon even better) if you are in any way picky about your decoy spreads. The dekes are all out and untangled but I can promise you that you will not find a classic "j-hook" or "landing zone" anywhere....if you do it was purely an accident. :)
Thanks again for all of your hard work, not just this weekend but the other workdays as well. Some came to EVERY work day.

Thanks for the constant updates and keeping folks posted as it really helps knowing up to the day updates. Great work keeping everything organized and Grover style!
Burger is 1/2 way installed, but had to shut down the track hoe when we realized we used all the mobile home anchors on S. House. It will be installed and ready for detailing after tomorrow.
Can't wait, almost can't sleep, some new ducks in today with the front.
