hunt log

OK, now we're back home and have a few days to catch our breath and head to the dr. for steroid shots and zpacks. Take some time to look at each day on the hunt log and make you've entered your hunts. Also, check to make sure other folks have entered as this is new to alot of folks and they need help. If you see a hunt is missing email or call the folks to get it done today or tomorrow. more »

not too slow.

Yes most of you may think this year is slow. But look at the hunt logs. There have been good hunts and bad hunts. Every year there have to be bad hunts. But hey guys, it will pick up in every blind. Good days will happen when good people wait, thats what my friends tell me.

I got two phone calls from farmers making sure we had folks in the pits as they were seeing new birds arrive from sky high. The Heeb farm limited in most of their pits yesterday and he told me he watched the pumphouse field fill up with mallards right before dusk. more »

This year vs. The last 8

The last 8 years the first 6 days have produced an average of 201.So yes this year has been uncommonly slow.Things will hopefully pick up. See ya after the break.

Hunting thanks

Thanks for a great opening week. Their seems to be less birds than usual in Arkansas this year but it has nothing to do with the club preparations. We must remember that we are still in the butter comparatively. I have some friends with a club north of us that are awaiting our invites. more »
