Wow, it's cold out there and I'm up at 2:39 with a whooping cough trying to recover from what weather has been thrown at us lately. I know ducks can be had in ice, but I'm far from an expert. Curious to hear success stories and ideas that have worked for folks as I'm trying to round up a generator to give my "ice eater" a try in a ditch or wherever some deep water is. more »

Not to much to report. Rusty and I hunted with a guest and with Rick this weekend. The ice has settled in for the immediate future as of this morning. Couldn't post anything from the Iphone this weekend, but back home now. Here is an update from what I looked at. I'm flabbergasted that no hunts have been logged since I left last Wednesday.

I know that folks were hunting this past week before I came over and after I left.

Please log where you hunted and what you killed.

Many of us that had to come home are wondering how the hunting is progressing.

Still couldn't get my car down Roberts Road Wednesday morning. Anyone know if pits are still flooded and deacoys spread out to tarnation? Anyone seen a duck in the last two days? Addison where is the live duck and farm condition report?

I grabbed airstrip on the free ranger for tomorrow but won't be hunting til about one o'clock, so anyone that wants it in the morning is welcome to it.

After 6 years of HARD CORE hunting, I have finally killed a banded duck!!! I went down to my Uncle's rice farm south of Forrest City and smacked a big fat mallard. The duck gods have smiled upon me... yea!!!

Well, it is Dec. 30th, and as I reflect on how the great wheel of time has rolled around once again, I find myself under an unexplainable compunction to write and say to all my fellow TRIV members that even though I have killed very few ducks thus far this year, I am very glad I joined the Club this year.
