A little encouragement
I've hunted harder in the last week than I've hunted all my life. Invites to hunt different clubs with different people just keep popping up for some reason. I've accepted invites that I usually turn down and it has been the best hunting in my life, with the exception of most opening weeks. I usually wake up at 2:30 and have driven as many as 100 miles one way back to back. I'm very tired(and grumpy if you've been around me-apologies), but it's been very rewarding. I have appreciated the gracious invites and seeing different parts of the country, but I'm ready to get back to our part of the world that I feel at home, ducks or not. By the way, I forgot how ducks can act, but I've seen some amazing volume and wingwork that I doubt I will ever see again. Unreal hunting and one day this week was apart of 7 limits in 22 minutes. The 10 gauge was pipin hot and so was my heart as I saw sights I haven't seen since 2000(year of the robo phenom)
Now that the water levels are normal and the ice is gone, we've got to get the club in tip top shape for the balance of the season. Lots to do, so please ask Grover how you can help.
