A Lil Something Extra To Be Thankful For

On thanksgiving morning derrick, steve, michael and my self where having a great hunt, we had a slow start but with the sun up were starting to finish some good groups with the amateur expert callers we had. Michael bugged out early for turkey day and all the sudden we were knocking down multi birds at a time and was just throwing them on the stringer. We had a great hunt and was laying the birds out for a picture when all the sudden i realized that we had a banded green head!!!!!!!!!! How we missed it i don't know cause it was there plain as day. After much excitement and pictures, not knowing who killed it or if we all did we sat down to draw straws. Guess who come out on top.... O ya this guy! I got my first band. Just got the info back on the bird it has only been banded for about 2 months in minnesota. The bird was thought to have hatched in 2012 which i thought was funny cause it was a big bird for this yrs hatch.All i know is now i got some new jewelry for my lanyard, heck ya!
