Well last friday started off kinda a normal then all H broke loose. Pickup trucks and trailers started showing up....It was like deer camp in Mississppi. Guys throwing cans everywhere, asking to borrow my tools, drinking my beer. Boat motors starting up, the sound of veitnameese pigs oinking it was causing quite a stur. Then Stiles and Moo showed up... Kids with no shoes runnin everywhere...lighting firecrackers. Holy Cow where am I. I now have a Ziegler next door. For those that do not know David Zeigler is now my next door neighbor.

So far its been really cool...like we are at the hunting club with our kids playing together, talking politics in the front yard till the wee hours, peeing on the sidewalks. Its been fun. Apparently our neighbors dont like the sound of shotguns...we found that out...

LOL!

Hmmm... sounds like we need a new poll about gunfire within city limits?

PS: Hey Bradley, if you need any help dealing with the emotional trauma of your "new normal" then you might want to sit in for at least a few sessions with the Monaco Neighborhood Association. I understand they're a great support network for such things.

I'm so jealous, congrats to both of you and let the good times roll.

I had a similar experience in my east memphis hood tonight. I was around the corner at my buddies when his back yard neighbor, Billy Scheafer was shining a light on the roof and shooting at a coon with a red rider, repeatedly. We got a q beem and were helping out when the coon jumped off the roof and started running our way. Kevin ran inside and came back with a 12 ga and one bullet and asked me to take care of our 4 legged friend. I always take advantage of moments like these and shot the lone round into the tree at about 9 PM, then yelled across to the fence, "got him" Neighbors appeared out of the woodwork wondering who had been shot and we explained that we were after a rabies stricken coon and we thought we got him. They loved it.
