Youth Weekend Update !

Assuming and hoping that the current ice storm (which is assaulting Harrisburg right now) doesn't leave the TRiv clubhouse powerless with busted pipes to boot...we're moving forward with the "kid hunt" plans. As Hunter has blogged, we're set up at Josie's Fri. night at 6:00 and then the First Annual TRiv Invitational Youth Trap Shoot at 12:30 on Saturday.
Provided we're not still frozen out of the fields, we'll hunt Sat. morning and try to be back to the clubhouse at around 11
for hot dogs, chili and chips at 11:30 or so, for lunch before the trapshoot. I'm sure most us we'll be back in the pits for a few hours afterwords then grill hamburgers and fry french fries etc. for supper. We'll have a showing of "Duck Hunting
with T.K. and Mike" after supper on the bigscreen. Assuming that it's age appropriate. I'll watch it beforehand.
For those with the stamina...the duck chase continues the next morning followed by some decoy pickin' up then (at least for Abby and I)a race back to Mempho' for Super Bowl activities.

Dads, We have about 8 kids confirmed now but, if you're coming and haven't let Hunter or I know that you're coming, please do a.s.a.p.. We'll be posting updated head counts and updates throughout the week.

I'll bring the hamburgers, french fries, oil and fryer.
At last report, we're going to have Grover's grill on site to cook on.
We still need...drinks, chips, charcoal, chili, hot dogs, buns (hamburger and hot dog) and something sweet for dessert Sat. night. I'm not sure what the TRiv inventory is like for mustard, ketchup etc.
but, we'll need that stuff and anything your kids like on their burgers cheese, lettuce, tomatoes etc.
Anyone who wants to pick some of these items to bring, either email me at wtrfwler@yahoo.com , call me at 901-237-6699 or
post a blog about what your bringing.

Keep you fingers crossed for good weather and we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend !

With all the accomodations and arrangements being up in the air, Jake and I are wavering about where to hunt tomorrow.

Planning on coming over Saturday morning to hunt with Mike Johns and his boys.

Josies is still up in the air, but just talked to the trap range and they have a lot of downed trees around them and we'll have to do a raincheck for next youth hunt.
I'd say let's just plan on all meals at the club and we'll be all pitching in camping supplies for cooking. We should bring our own supplies and food as I've heard the power is out from jonesboro to wynne, so the Giant might not even be open, ugh.

Cya Friday night with bells on!
