Well my friend calen wallce killed four ducks that had worms in tehir brest. Thsi could be why they are dieing. I never seen white worms in my ducks or geese but this could may well be the case why they are dieing

Thanks Grover! I've wondered for a long time what that caused those weird white things in the ducks' breast meat...

Some geese overeat on rice. They then drink water and rice swells and its too much for their system to handle.

I have had ducks with worms and it is relatively normal. You can even eat them after the are cooked.

for more information on this parasitic infection. Usually not fatal to the affected waterfowl so this doesn't seem to explain all the dead geese found in the fields.
