Please let me know ASAP if your spot will be vacant as the waiting list is growing.
If you have a friend that would like to join the club, email me their contact info and a little bit about them in case we have room in the future.
Farm Updates:
I have had good conversations with farmers with regard to farm improvements and crops that you will like to hear about. We are hauling in fill dirt this Spring to backfill pits and mostly conceal the sharp edges of the pits. During the growing season, crops and natural cover will help camouflage the blinds much better.
Good crop news! Expect some rice and more corn on the farm this year as the rice price has jumped up a little and the farm is well-suited for rice production after mostly beans last year. Also, several fields are being precision-leveled which will help with water control and ducks seem to love it as well.
I'm moving a few pits around to space them further away from each other. At least two of the pits are going to be planted directly into the side of the farm road fully camo'ed), which will eliminate trekking through fields, which several folks liked about Marked Tree blind.
Our Second Season of Goosing the Snows!
In the first three weeks of this year's special goose season, we've taken FIVE bands already! Want a Goose Band on your lanyard?
Three Rivers Waterfowlers enjoyed its second season of guided snow goose hunts during the Light Goose Conservation Order (since the government begs us to whack the geese HARD!). Plan ahead now and book your hunt for Spring 2014! See http://threeriverswaterfowlers.com for details.
Annual September Dove Hunt
We'll be repeating our Annual Dove Hunt this September, so mark your calendars for opening day weekend of Arkansas Dove Season. We'll provide details once ARG&F sets the season dates.
Thanks for your support of Three Rivers Duck Club and continuing your part in our Pointsett County community.
