Stars on Ice Update

I thought our practice went very well considering the number of first timers involved. Before any cuts are made, I feel the need to allow more time for evaluation due to the enthusiasm and high level of talent 3R brings.

As promised, here are my initial observations:
-Farley definately showed real potential in couples skating.
-Johnny May scored well in overall costume attire, but there have been some issues we'll have to workout with his agent. She's got her panties in a wad over a few facial stiches.
-Louis rocked those tights, but somebody needs to tell him the tater goes in front.
-Joel perfected the triple lux. NEW RULE: Every participant wearing a tutu must wear some form of underwear.
-Bradley was impressive in his Mr. Roboto loafers right up until the accident. To his credit, he showed incredible fexibility. I know you are with me in hoping to have him back in time for next year.
-Egg & Ice were fantastic as usual, but chose to practice alone on the other pond.
-Hunter will NOT be allowed back at practice until Marcus finishes knitting his third leg warmer.
-Tupman was the only veteran that had trouble. He blamed the ice, his skates, the wind, the tilt of the earth, the water level, gravity and Hunter for his poor performance.
-Stovall assured us he was coming, but after several unanswered phone calls, texts and emails we gave up him.
-The Bama Boys showed patience and stick-to-itness. Though they left cold and wet, they showed great success.
-Addison said he was good, but he wouldn't show anybody.
-Kevin J almost missed tryouts because someone stole his skates, but luckily Marcus had another pair chained to his trailer.
-Most of the new guys showed well. Dean, Jimmy and Leslie were standouts. They proved they have what it takes. Hunter has really stepped up to help our new guys, and we all need to join in and help em out.

A special thank you to Moo for documenting the event in color, and Stiles for dragging over the cold cut caboose.

Though they will be skating with us on cloudy days, I regret to inform everyone of the loss of returning veteran skaters Glen Floyd and Dr. Jim as they will be skating with a new team down south. As well, we will miss the championship experience of Vern and Mouse, formerly of the Michigam Migrators, who were recruited by the Languille Lounge Limiters. We look forward to their return in 2010.

On a brighter note, we're glad Bill Titus has returned to the team. His talents were missed last year.

I will post more updates as the weather allows us to practice.

If you need any breakdancing skills to further inhance this stellar line up of talent, please feel free to call. I know I missed tryouts but Hunter Zeigler has witnessed these breakdancing moves first hand and may vow for what this may add to an already talent packed line up.

Wow, on the levee of East Rayburn, it's true, I witnessed the best moves I've seen since WSHS from a mid 30's married man. Nice moves and hope to see them on Josies Friday night.
