The Report from this morning

Fellas,

I hunted East Fish Pond with Garrison this morning. It was really cloudy with a low ceiling as well. I had high hopes after we saw more birds today than we honestly expected to see. We did see a good number of big ducks. But alas, they were flying high and not interested in settling down anywhere near our calling. We missed a teal that snuck up on us from the backside of the pit but other than that we had no birds really consider us.

Whoever was hunting the Clayspools pit had some nice volleys on birds. It appeared as though the two of them probably knocked down 6-8 ducks.

Basically, no real change in kill numbers but I do feel we are starting to get some new birds into our area.

I am sticking around to probably hunt this afternoon and then hunt Tuesday morning. After that, I'll be the heading back to see the wife and kids for a couple of days.
