The ducks are all gone, but about a month ago there were thousands they have made their journey back to canada, or wherever them ducks go. In the mean while its summer, and im bout to be farming and most of you that work(not retired yes just work) will be picking up steadily. The shells are going to jack way up this year better by them on a summer price before they get to high. Im turning sixteen most likely on the opening day of duck season which means im going to have to buy my stupid stamps, looking forward to seeing most of you , and hopfully meetings some of the guys i have never met before. I didnt get my canvasback last year, mainly becaus eyou couldn't shoot them, but i had a great duck season last year maybe on eof the best i have ever had. I think i found my lifelong hunting partner my bro,without him i probably wouldnt do half the hunting i do know. If you are ready to smack some teal give me a call 1870 253-1667. I heard the dirt track got bought and might be opening back up this summer. Any truth to this big news?

Haven't bow fished in years
Where are you bowfishing? I could have arrowed quite a number of gar on Memorial Day if I'd had a bow! I was standing on the pipe catwalk over a drainage ditch swollen from the rains fishing for crappie....actually hooked a gar on my cricket! The gar kept rolling up to the top right below me and would have been great fun to have a bow.

mainly rivers, and the ditches like you are talking about. We hav killed or shot 20lb. fish or better! We shoot all kinds of fish though, but if you have never done it find some time and me and Nathan will take you one of these days.
its great to hear some bloggin' in the "off season". In years past no one would post for months, but as interest and the habit of using the website has increased, we have folks posting even over the summer months. It's great to have a Harrisburg native using the site regularly! I will be in Arkansas tomorrow....off to Searcy to visit the in-laws and my wife's grandparents (who are in from Texas), and then it will be back to H-burg for some fishin' and Memorial Day fun. Dakota, did you do any froggin' when the season opened?
I'll be ready to smack the teal with you when September comes around, you KNOW I will be there. Tell Nathan I said hullo.
