Gentlemen:

As our season comes to a close I wanted to say what a pleasure it has been to share my passion with so many fine people. Seems like yesterday I was cutting grass in 90 degree temps dreaming about duck season and once again its come and gone so fast. Where does the time go?

I’ve had the opportunity to share a pit with a couple of new guys, Jason Smith and Shawn Sims to name a few and gentlemen what a great time it was to meet and share a hunt with both of you. There were dozens of men, women, and children that graced our table outside our room throughout the year and what a pleasure that was as well. The chatter and laughs we shared as we gathered around a foldout table was remarkable. And though our duck hunting was again only moderate at best it’s the camaraderie I enjoy as much as killing them ducks. I always wanted my son to be a man that valued the hunting and the social side of this wonderful sport. I thank you all for helping me with that. You all have helped me add more great memories to another year.

To my team, Dan, Steve, David W. and David H., I absolutely cannot think of any other men I’d rather share this with. We have some years under our belt together and some wonderful memories. It is my plan to hunt with you gentlemen until the good Lord calls me home.

Now I plan to get over later in the week to ride this out… good, bad, or ugly, I’m in it til the end. I hope to see many of you again before I pack up for the season, but should that not be the case, I wish you all the best and I hope to see you all in November!
