Okay Folks, ALOT of work has been done already...but we still have alot to do. The focus of the work will be pit brushing and decoy work.

As far as the brushing, we have newly designed and installed gates on many of the pits and just need to have the cattleguard transported to the pit and attached (they are prebrushed.

Decoys...we have 50 dozen brand new decoys and they have been strung already with the new system. The old decoys have been cleaned and are ready for re-stringing. As soon as they are restrung we will work on getting them to the pits.

Logistically, because of the size of the farm, these two tasks will require some manpower. I would love to have a headcount as to the size of our potential workforce for this weekend. Please respond to this blog if you are able to come and what time you can arrive at the TRIV main clubhouse saturday AM. I will give a starting meeting time after I've gotten some responses. If you are part of the crew working on the clubhouse, no need to respond as you'll not be available for pit/decoy duty. The waterfowl are starting to stage in section 2 at South Roberts, might be majestic if they are still there by this weekend!

Speaking of deeks, Grover, would you please take a few pics of the cool new decoy rigs? (I think they're called a Holley Rig)

I'd like to see some clear pics of a decoy or two hanging by their strings on a nail at the cleaning station. I've seen the Holley Rig by itself, but not attached to a decoy.

Hunter and Grover it's definitely is a work weekend, but I don't like to think of it as work!!!!! I would like to think of this weekend as the " 2010 TRIV DECOY FESTIVAL".... Like any other festival you and your family or friends would attend.. There are activities for all ages!! The TDFC-( triv decoy festival committee) is putting together a great list of activities for everyone to experience and enjoy!!!!!! So folks y'all stay tuned to the blog for the schedule of events... I look forward to seeing everyone there at the " 2010 TRIV DECOY FESTIVAL" - Where it's a JAM'EM up time!!!!!!!!!! Thanks,

-Duck Man Jones

PS- Parker Peterson bring your duck call cause it's time to start practicing before the season starts!!!! can't wait to see you big guy!!!!!!

Thanks for the update supergrover! I can't wait to see the new pit tops in action and I'm fired up how much preseason work we've been able to do. The farm is in better shape than we've ever seen and hopefully it will show with the harvest numbers over last season.
If your new to the club or a vet, please bring your guests that you will take during the season, kids, wives, grandmothers, neighbors, illegals and any other hands you can grab so that AJ(Antonio) is impressed with the support and turnout all weekend long. That way, we can start off the season prepared and stress free from farm work.

Stay tuned for new location of annual meeting in memphis on Monday night. Some folks would like to eat and hang out before and after, so Moo is in search of the best location, all things considered.
