Claypools pit has a leak!!! If you plan to hunt it take a bucket.
Yankee and n Roberts are both hunt able.
Bilge pump running all night tonight at n roberts. 2 inches from pit top.....as long as no high winds, will be good.

Water is very low and will stay low until early next week. Scheduled pit lift being done on n Roberts this weekend that requires low water. Thx

The leak is coming from the top cap and it shouldn't be a problem now that we've been able to get the water off the field a little. Exceptions will be more rain or high winds.

I'm fond of this pit, too, and would sure like to see it huntable.
I'm afraid we are looking at best case now. I've discussed with farmers and the flood destroyed the levee and it's not repairable. Hopefully they'll hit the slash water around the pit.

Can we get leak in south levee repaired? I have had some great hunts in this pit. It just needs a little water and it will hunt. Decoys were still in bag on Dec. 8th. I dumped them and brought bag back to house. Pit is well brushed cause it has sat empty all year. Pit had 3 ft. of water too.

It's time to put one of those 22 foot double dog box Hilton pits there....I think it should have electricity and running fresh water too....LOL, and maybe a napping area in the pit.
