Just Announced: Best Hunting Phone Ever
Just announced today, the iPhone 4S has more of just about everything that made the iPhone 4 an amazing phone.... 8 megapixel camera, dual-core processor, 1080p HD stabilized video and more. See Apple's specs here: Apple - Compare iPhones.

PS: Ok, so Griffin hasn't yet announced their Survivor case for the 4S... but I find it hard to believe that this product release has caught them flat-footed, so I'm hoping for an announcement from them soon.
PPS: Ok, and another sweet case: Lifeproof. I've seen Jeb, Leslie and other members using them this season!
PPPS: Before you ask... Yes! I'm just as mystified as you people are, wondering why Apple didn't feature duck, goose or even turkey hunts in their product placement photos... Not even even a bow-hunting shot? C'mon Apple, you'll have to do better next time.

ya i was one of the ones that ordered in the first 24 hrs and i love it.. i how ever went with then new camo otterbox. it looks great and has a post of a customer that has run his over with a firetruck by accident and it survived unscathed...and seeing how i did that with my 3g i couldnt get one fast enough!

Moo is what you call a "professional". But I'm ready for him this year. I'm bringing two cameras, two guns, two hats, two coats, two waders, a case of shells and my 4 wheeler to give him a ride. I'll probably call him to 5:00 to get him out of bed too!

Yeah yeah, it has a lot of bells and whistles, but can it sit in the bottom of a pity,in January,for the 3 nanoseconds between the time it was dropped and the time the owner is cursing and feeling around in the freezing sewer water in the bottom of the pit?!
Moo - We gonna hunt opening morning together? It's kind of tradition that I run you out to the pit on my 4 wheeler, then you remember you left your camera in your truck, and I drive back to your truck to fetch said camera. Then you shoot all the birds while I'm gone.

I haven't been so embarrassed since I was peed my waders when I was six years old!
As for the 3 nanoseconds? I don't own a Griffin Survivor yet, but my impression of the case is that if the ports are covered, it really will protect your phone from a short bath!

A little additional news on the Griffin Survivor... I just spoke with Jonathan at Griffin Technologies, and they're pretty sure the existing Survivor case will work perfectly with the new iPhone 4S, but they have not yet obtained one for testing, so they can't say for sure until then.
Apparently, the new phone is already selling well, before it's even released. Apple reports that more than 1 million pre-orders were placed in the first 24 hours after the phone was announced!
