Indeed a band from......
It truly was a great hunt on Sat. with everyone at Woodiefest 2011! Just what you think of being in a sweet looking hole, snow all around and with guys and the boys to make it really fun!
As most of you probably read from Hays it was a great hunt! I've never seen so many wood ducks! It truly was like a dove shoot there for an hour and half or so. At first, we all were saying we didn't bring enough ammo.
Once Millie brough back one of the birds, I couldn't believe it was banded! Yes, the band was imprinted from Maryland, and yes I called it in, and yes they have sent my certificate already(it's called electronic mail Randy it's preety darn fast these days:)! The duck was 6 years old from Polk City, IOWA! So, I never said it was FROM Maryland...anyway, suprising enough I don't have a pic of the bird, but going to have it going to be mounted with the jewelry.
Needless to say, it was a fun weekend. We tried going back on Sunday, but with the fields thawing out they didn't work as much and the group got 5. It didn't matter to the boys and me, because we already had a blast of a hunt at Beedville!!!

I attached a few pics of the boys on Sunday to show you the hole if you haven't seen it...It looked a whole lot better with the snow that was there on Saturday!

That's alot of bands. I don't see how you stand up with that hanging around your neck!
I didn't know how it the certificate would look emailed but it's in PDF format ready for printing!!!

In my defense, the hunt log for your Woodie Fest 2011 posted by Mr. Hays Patrick does in fact say, "the band was from Maryland". So you are correct "you" did not say that, your huntin buddy did...LOL
Congrats on the Woodie from Iowa, and thanks for the info on the electronic mail...where have I been...LOL
When I called mine in they asked me if I wanted the info e-mailed, I said no cause I wasn't sure if you still got the certificate or not. I actually have all mine to this day. Killed one in 98, 99, 2000, and 2001 and now 2011 !!!
