members please feel free to weigh in on your experiences for the best deals for waterfowl bullets. C'mon, let us all in on the savings....I havn't made my transactions yet and only have enough to last me the first morning. Past experience has proven that I will need a case just for the first week alone. Eggstyle tells me the best deal on Win Experts is from Mack's delivered to your door, and I definitely appreciate Egg's ability to sniff out a true deal. Anyway, if that is the best deal, anybody interested in piling on a big order from Mack's to save on shipping?

I shoot those any time I can find them.

Fat, Drunk, and Stupid is no way to go through life, son...

Who needs freakin' shells? I like to hit them with hand-thrown rocks (to stun them) and then I gather them up and bite their heads off. I also enjoy catching ducks in the air with my bare hands and ripping their heads off. Either way, they die fast. I like to call it the "Chuck Norris" method of waterfowl conservtion.

Good Evening Gentlemen,

As a new guy, I have a few questions:
What size shot is preferred?
Have you noticed any difference (other that price) in hevi-shot or bismuth over steel?

Also - I have a new clay trap that I am bringing out this weekend, so if anyone want to bring up a box or two of targets and blast a few.

$9.89 for Win Expert 1550fps at Wal-Mart the other day. Not sure if that is a good price, though.

I talked with Food Giant today about ordering a big order of Fiocchi speed steel killers. They want me to stop by this weekend to place the order, so buckle your seatbelt for some fast steel if they can get there hands on it like last year. It's a good price too.

the Fiocchi as they were the first to "get it" with steel and realized that SPEED KILLS, however, the Fiocchis have unfortunate problems in my trusty Rem 870, the go to gun for me. Frequently when using Fiocchis, a fired shell lodges in the chamber and the extractor pin is unable to grip the lip of the shell to extract it. Requires a complete dissassembly to get back in action. Very uncool.

Grover

have done the same thing with my 870 several times.

Sounds like user error, ha. Just kidding, but I wonder if that was a bad box.
Let's run a few through her this weekend and see how it does. I'd hate for you to not be shooting the fastest, deadliest load for the money if there's really no issue now. I've found them to be very high quality packing quite the punch for long ranch shots.
