Fellow Duck hunters, I don't know how your season was But mind was a blessing. I started out on opening day not knowing what to expect for this was my first year as a new member. I was teamed up with three other guys which I have not hunted with before it wasn't long seemed like we had hunted all our lives together and had great time. I wasn't able to come back till January was able to bring one of my best friends Don Barrett. Birds where slow but the Sun rise and Sun sets is really what its all about for me, because you never know when you have been on your last Hunt. We had great time with TJ Smith and his guest for that week. I was looking forward to coming back and end the season that I would not forget well let me tell you don't think I will forget this one. Arrive on a Wednesday Steve and Pete came in so we hunted together for two days Pete had his Father with him on his first duck hunt ever what a great time we had. On Friday Derick Walker and I hunted the House pit we were doing all right till Derick decided he wanted to show me how you can do a swan dive trying to get back in the pit from a great retrieve. I had a guest coming in from Atlanta so I had to pick him up at the airport. To start Frayne's first ever duck hunt in Ar. I took him to a DU event what a night of fun with Friends. The next morning would be a first for the two of us, we took down two Canvasbacks it would have been ok to have stop right then. But Frayne had not kill his first Pintail bull and they were here it took the next day to get it. Derick made a very very long retrieve. The last two days of hunting would be the best with Richard Bishop mainly because he had (Sadie) a fine retriever, the big moment was the last day looking over Richard shoulder I saw what look like a duck coming right at the pit before I could say anything I pick up my gun and shot the duck. Sadie made the retrieve as she past in front of the pit there it was jewelry on a Mallard Drake my first thank you Sadie. Call the band in and found out this bird was banded in Whitewater,Manitoba,Canada. Banded 8/17/2000 Hatched in 1999 or earlier. With all this said these have been the best days of my Life.......Hunting!!! I Thank God for it, till next season fellow duck hunters.

Strick, I sure enjoyed laughing and sharing stories with you the last 3 days of the season! Can't wait till next season! Well as you said "when women are around me they go into heat", Sadie went into heat the Wednesday after the season ended! She is spending a little quality time in Georgia with her new boyfriend Tork. 3 puppies are sold, 2 to TRIV members, let me know if you are interested in a pup.
