has anyone hunted Beedeville this year? seems like it is always on free ranger hunts. I have it for Saturday and wanted to get some input on that draw. Do I need a boat or is it easy to get to from the parking area? anything I need to know prior to going out there would be appreciated. tia

I did not get my notice, will check the email in a few. I want the BBQ Vieanners.

I will be the only one from the crew this w/e. They are all in Vegas for the Rodeo (they know a rider not animal) in the worlds.

I am up in STL and it is about 4 hours away for me but I get a couple week hunts and almost every w/e. Looking forward to meeting more of you guys, read a lot of your older blogs and really like this club. Thanks

Bring your own snacks as you're only getting the bronze tour...The Silver and Gold packages come with a free can of Vieanna Sasuage and a Diet Coke but are currently going for $39.95 with the internet coupon...LOL

I too look forward to meeting you and hope we get the chance to hunt together too. If you're ever by yourself or just a couple of your guys give me a shout.

I'm a weekend hunter mostly depending on my pit selection, but have been known to sneek away for an afternoon hunt. I work downtown and can leave my office and be in a pit in an hour!

I can show you the place. I've been there twice (never hunted it) but I can show it to you. The real Beedeville 50 is a section of ground off the Cache River that will hold rain water and overflow from the Cash. It's full of buck brush and small trees but has shown to be productive when ducks are using the Cache. In a normal year a fella can walk in with chest waders and the water never get over your knees. This however is NOT a normal year, and I haven't been there this year.

A fellow member hunted the actual Cache River from this section last year and had some really good hunts. Lots of Woodies some Gad's and Mallards. He said they just walked in thru out a few decoys and stood by some cypress trees. Now last year was a dry year and I'm positive it's different. From what I saw there are plenty of places to wade in and set up in some shallow water cypress sloughs. It is at its best when fields are frozen and the river is still open. I bet on any given day a man, a dozen decoys and a few flappers can get the job done.

I myself would not wade in the dark until I was VERY familar with the area. George Washington and Antonio hunt this place on a regular basis and may be able to give you more information.

Call me Saturday Afternoon ( 901-493-1890) I can meet you and at least show you how to get there. It's about 30 minutes from Josie's.

I wish I knew more about Duck Pond area, I know how to get there but last Hunter said was there is no pit in the field and getting to the slough is difficult. I see this as a "arrive a 9:00" hunt, at least a fella can see.

I plan to look at this area Saturday afternoon too.

It would appear the answer is YES, people have been hunting it. I saw where the hunt logs jumped and Beedeville now has posted a significant amount of ducks killed. It's a easy hole to find and I'd be happy to show it to you this weekend.
