2010-2011 Duck Season

Guys-

We just experienced a special season. I believe there was more communication, sharing of pits and working together to ensure everyone was included, in killing ducks, than any other season that I have been a member.

Thank you for the invites, shared hunts and good times. The only thing that stands out is I believe I was purposely excluded from Johny May and Randy's band hunts and that hurts.

Props to May on the camphouse. It looks great and was clean, orderly and livable all season. Great job May. For new guys, trust me it was immaculate this season.

Thanks Hunter, Grover and Moo for all the life energy expended making all of this possible.

Hope you all have a great year and hope to see you next year.

Marc

Great comments. I will also re-post this next topic to a stand alone blog, but it is appropriate to mention it in this thread as well.

A special THANK YOU to whomever cleaned the TRIV clubhouse before leaving sunday. When I stopped by to pick up a few things, I was amazed. The clubhouse looked clean, tidy and organized. It was the absolute best the clubhouse has ever looked to close any season, bar none!. Thanks!

I agree, great bunch of guys this season. My only regrets are the time I was not able to spend with members.

Marc, I agree the communications and sharing of pits was better this year than last.

It was a great group of guys this year and I hope, and I expect to see everyone back. I don't think one guy said he was not coming back and I know my team has recruited a "newbi"

Thanks to the Ziegler Boys for their hard work !!!!

Hope to see you soon.

P.S. I read a quote once from an avid waterfowl hunter, his name escapes me, but he said:

“I have been an avid outdoorsman since I was just a boy… I have hunted it, chased it, stalked it, trapped it and cursed it; I have hunted all across this country, and all around the world … I have pursued animals from continent to continent. I have a trophy room full of my successes, and yet nothing… absolutely nothing …has the alluring challenges for me as waterfowl hunting…

For what other sport can you do where you watch the game come out of the sky?”
