Free Ranger on Wednesday

Claypool East for Wednesday afternoon.

Diamond in the rough

This past weekend Farley,Garrison and myself went back to a local bar/kareoke place in Waldenburg. If you haven't been there you are missing the true flava of the dirty south.
The can beer and popcorn in cardboard boxes really make the mood just right.
I got a little nervous that Saturday nite when Garrison got on stage to sing a song.He began by welcoming everyone to Randy's Bar in Harrisburg!
OH SNAP! I thought.....we are in Waldenburg not freakin' H'burg!
So join us this Sat. nite as we go for it again!

Flooded pits

Just an FYI. If you haven't been over since the weekend, assume that section 2 pits are flooded until further notice. Hoping to start pumping them out by Friday. Plan on showing up to help round up decoys and get life back to normal for the last week. Hope to see you this weekend as we go over 1500 ducks on the books.

Happy hunting-HZ

three riv hunt and fitness club

A much thanks to Bradley and Terry for guiding Danny L , his brother Kippy, Tommy T and his friend this past weekend during the monsoons at the RIV. During their discovery jaunt to North Roberts sunday, they got on the WRONG rice levee and walked its length before turning back realizing it was the wrong one. Next adventure was the one that took them to the pit only to discover it was part of the ocean of water mother nature was dropping. At this moment a decision was made to head south to more accommodating blinds. At the end of their exit jaunt to the cars, Three Rivers was renamed--Three rivers Health and Fitness Club. more »

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I have a thought to share.
Over the next two weeks I would like to pick up the decoys at the South House pit and maybe another less hunted pit to lessen the load after the season comes to a close.
what is the general response of the club?
My next question is what to do with the sinkers that Grover mentioned.
My suggestion would be to bag up the good decoys and only save the weights off the sinkers.Obviously pick the sinkers and not leave them out there.
I know this sounds wasteful, but the time and effort it takes to repair a sinker is time consuming. The 3 rivers flock needs good decoys not repaired old ones that are subject to sinking all over again. more »
