Hunting thanks
Thanks for a great opening week. Their seems to be less birds than usual in Arkansas this year but it has nothing to do with the club preparations. We must remember that we are still in the butter comparatively. I have some friends with a club north of us that are awaiting our invites.
I think we have more ducks than anyone else. My 8 year girl seems to be tougher than some people in our club. She knows the ducks come and go and come back. We got to hunt em not wait and shoot them when they are in our laps. Pologies to those that saw my shooting from North Bridge Thanksgiving Morning, we had kids shooting and a Texas Quail hunter....and then me shooting. Should have had 10 ducks.
You new guys keep watching the weather we get some ice in Missouri and we will be covered up again. I promise!
Also, my son Nelson had his first confirmed kill this week..... all by himself he killed a HUGE fox squaril in the back yard at TRIV. i do not usually mount the little nasty rats i am going to mount this one. Anybody know a redneck taxidermist? I want to mount the thing standing like a bear with teeth and claws exposed!
