Duck Report

Can't really say new ducks have arrived but the past two days for me have been pretty good considering the latest reports. Section Two produced 10 ducks on Friday, a mixed bag of Mallards, Pintails, Gadwalls, Teal, and the beloved Spoonie. A fair number of ducks flying and temps near 70 made for a enjoyable day. Hunted til 10:00.

Saturday hunted N. Bridge and 3 of us limited out by 9:00 before the rain moved in. Again a mixed bag of Mallards, Widgeons, Gadwalls a couple Spoonies and alot of Teal. Saw big groups of Teal (30-60) all morning. Very foggy early and very warm. When the clouds would open a bit ducks were everywhere in the sky. The few Mallards we killed were working ducks. Everything else was generally fly-by's that just got too close. Killed 2 geese also, a Speck called in on a string, and a Snow that never thought for a second he was in range.

Came over not expecting much, but so far it has been fun. Killing a few ducks, hunting with my son and friends and enjoying good food and fellowship. Even got to hang out with Coach Fulmer... Go Vols!

Anyway just sharing all this to say, you can't shoot ducks if you never put yourself in the environment. Only two weeks left, no makeup days, so no complaining if you don't try.
