Morning All,

We have another duck calling session tomorrow night. We'll be working on the Hail Call and Comeback Call. Let know know if you are coming and any guests you may bring, so I can get a head count for food. Thanks and see you tomorrow night.

Calling All Duck Hunters,

Want to learn how to call a duck? Want to fine tune for the upcoming season? Got a child, co-worker, or friend who wants to learn? Our own Ryan Hadskey, former pro Staff with Buck Gardner Calls, has again stepped forward to help his fellow duck hunters. Ryan knows his way around a duck call and is willing to share his knowledge, instruction, and application with us over a series of meetings. We will start with the basics and build from there.

We will begin with the basic QUACK and the LONESOME HEN on the first week. Practice, because the next lesson will be pretty intense. We will work on the HAIL CALL and then the COMEBACK call. Week three well be something totally different, the FEED call. Speaking of feed, I'll bring food each week, so it least you won't go away hungry.

The sessions are scheduled as follows:

1) Tuesday, November 10th, 6:00 PM. QUACK and LONESOME HEN CALL - The quack is the foundation of all calls, except the feed call. To be a good caller, you have to be well grounded in the basic quack. We will work on this as a group and individually. Ryan will work with those that need to get the right amount of growl or grunt into the call. The LONESOME HEN is the moneymaker of all calls. If you can master just one call, this is it…and it‘s easy!

2) Tuesday, November 17th, 6:00 PM. HAIL CALL & COMEBACK CALL – How do you call a duck when all you can see is their tail feathers? The COMEBACK CALL. How do you call a duck when they're a dot in the distance coming your way? The HAIL CALL.

3) Tuesday, November 24th, 6:00 PM. FEED CALL - This will be something totally different from what we have learned in the previous weeks, a new skill. Ryan will teach us how to make this call, when to use it, etc.

We will be meeting at 440 South Shady Grove Road. In typical Memphis fashion, Ridgeway Road turns into South Shady Grove Road on the north side of Poplar Avenue. From Poplar, go north on Shady Grove Road approximately 8/10 of a mile. On your right, you will see a brick wall. When that wall stops, you will see a lake. The next driveway to the right is 440 South Shady Grove Road. The mailbox is down the driveway about 75 feet, so you have to look for it.

Ryan has little ones at home and I would like to compensate him for his time away from the family, so bring $5.00 or $10.00 to put in the hat. That is a small price to pay for this kind of personalized instruction, plus you get to eat my cooking!!! Don't let the money keep you away though. If you can't chip in for a given lesson, just let me know.

Learning to use a duck call is just like learning to play a musical instrument. It takes instruction, practice, and patience. I would encourage you, if you want to learn or to fine tune, dust off your calls and join us on November 17 th at 6:00PM.

Let me know if you are coming, so I can bring enough food. www.glenn.floyd@bwpmlp.com

Spread the word to anyone you think would be interested.
