Attention Quail Hunters

The first 15 guys to respond to this blog and claim your spot on an opening weekend quail hunt will get to hunt quail and a few pheasant if we're lucky. That's right, guided hunt for pen raised quail imported from a first class farm in Georgia.

Here's the program....about 1:30 on Saturday the 17th, the hunters will take turns hunting 4 at a time over the bird dogs and this event will be supervised by Greg Holly and professional guide Inman Coleman. If we don't shoot all of the birds on Saturday, we'll do it again at 1:30 Sunday as well. more »

Attention Deer Hunters

The first 5 guys to respond to this entry and claim their exclusive right to hunt the South end of Greenbriar Woods(200 acres of prime timber), it's there's for the season. Those folks will have to work together to coordinate how to hunt the most effectively. I have a local guide lined up to help you with scouting, trails, access, etc who knows the woods like the back of his hand.

By the way, there's no cost this year, just an added bonus.

Happy hunting-HZ

Aerial Map + Migration Pics!

Kristy and I headed over to Section2 yesterday to check out the MAJOR mosquito, er, waterfowl migration that's in progress there now.

Be sure to check out the pictures from the Reservoir and Section 2 in the image gallery album "Pre-Season".

The 2007-2008 Aerial Map is now available here.

Site Updates: Faster Site, Integrated Image Gallery

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your patience (especially Hunter!) with the slow access to our old site. We've mostly completed a transition to a fast site. If you're reading this and you have a broadband connection, you should be noticing the effects of this right now.

We've also shoe-horned our image server into the midst of the site, giving us much faster access to images. It won't feel like a seamless part of the site right now, but it's a lot better than what we've had in the past.

More to come...

GPS Cooridinate Spreadsheet Attached

Until Moo has time to post under resources, here you go. Map is too large to post here, eventually will be under resources tab.
Side note, we will have everything up and running at least 7 days before season opens, but we're working as fast as possible on an uphill battle. Thanks for your patience.

Another Major Work Weekend

While we've got great weather, we need to knock out the rest of the pit work. If you can come over Friday after work, come to L10 house where we'll be making lead weights and need warm bodies.
Otherwise, see you bright and early at L10 clubhouse for departure to the pits.

If we have good turnout again, we could knock out the rest of the pit work this weekend, so bring a friend and let's get er done.

See you soon-HZ

Major Work Weekend 10/27-28

OK guys, season is approached fast and we've got a lot to do. The weather will be perfect and hopefully we'll have some eye candy in the sky after all this rain.
Bring waders, rakes, flat shovels, 4 wheelers and a chainsaw if you have it. On the schedule is getting the pits ready. That means cleaning inside with shovels, brushing the gates and putting the decoy bags on the levee for opening day.
Show up as early as you can Saturday AM at either Three Rivers main clubhouse or L10, a staging area for decoy assembly. more »
