what's up boys! mouse here just a little news from the north. duck numbers have been very impressive this year. one of the best openning weeks we have ever had. daddy vern and i killed a limit 5 days in arow openning week, and got it done in 2hrs on 2 of the days. lots of mallards as usual, but very impressive numbers of widgeon and pintails. we have only had 1 hunt that we did not that we did not kill at least 10 birds. so all in all things are looking really good. our weather has been very cold for this time of the year, and i expect some frozen water by the end of the weekend with temps topping out in the low 40s. more »

The Free Ranger Team Captain of the day is the FIRST MEMBER who stakes a claim by posting a blog entry at http://www.threeriversduckclub.com no sooner than midnight two days prior to the hunt date. Team captain cannot be the same two days running.

For example, I want to be the Free Ranger Captain for Wednsday's hunt. This means I need to log in and post my blog entry staking my claim at midnight or later of Sunday midnight. Whoever posts soonest after midnight Sunday is the FR captain for Wednsday.

Thanks to Stovall and the guys from Three Rivers, I now have a terminal illness - Duck Feeva !!! It almost killed me last week - I was runnin' around the house talkin' about my "raspy ole hen" call, and my wife thought I was bad-mouthin' her -oops !!

I am REALLY looking forward to coming back for my third year with you guys - and we are working on converting a few more Texans to Arkansas hunting ! See you for the opener - thanks for being such a great group !!

Mark your calendars for being at two preseason work days and one post season work day. The week after you've done your three work days, a $200 check will be heading your way, otherwise enjoy the TP and coffee that your money will go towards at the house. I will post the work day sheet at the house and if you forget to check your name off, just email me and I'll handle. Official work days are: 10/ 21/06, 11/4/06, 11/11/06, and close down 2/10/07.

We are going to have a ball this year as we've got a great group of guys and good spots to shoot em in the lips. As usual, I will send out the schedule/team assignments by November 1st. more »
