Posting hunt results

I'd like to remind everyone to please take the time and make sure that you post your hunt in the hunt log. It is helpful for us in being able to keep up with where the birds are being hunted and how well we are doing as a club. For example, a group of folks hunted in north bridge on Tuesday and never posted their hunt results. I heard alot of shooting from where I was in north roberts and would like to know how north bridge did.

I am thinking about growing a mustache. Lemme know what you think. I hear they are the latest "to have" this holiday season. I wanna look like BURT REYNOLDS!!!!

got em again

hey guys, had a great hunt this afternoon with a friend. killed a limit of mallards out of a corn field by my house. you guys had better buckle your seat belts because our ducks have the look of leaving. the cold weather is supposed to hit us tomorrow. so you all should have a great weekend. if we get everything they are calling for weather wise our birds should be out of here this weekend, or sooner. mouse

...the only person holding a gun...

It is funny how close you come to missing out on some rather monumental events during duck season.

I had given Joey Bland an open invitation to come over whenever and with however many of his kids he wanted to bring for the weekend after Thanksgiving.

We briefly talked about going on Sunday morning while at a “family & friends” football game and get together on Saturday afternoon. I don't believe there was much enthusiasm on either side of our conversation.

As we were leaving, Joseph Bland (who missed out on going earlier in the week) shouted from across the parking lot, “Hey Mr. Johns…” while shouldering his “air Remington 870 20 gauge shotgun” at a flight on incoming Mallards. I responded by shouting, “Have your dad call me!” more »

Why Do We Do It?

I just wanted to offer a heartfelt "Thank you!" to Tom W., one of my father's dearest friends, for sending some wonderful pictures to us that have just arrived. I've posted them here, and I am also including one of Dad's personal writings which Tom also quotes in his scrapbook as well. more »
